ABOUT POST 889

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 889 was established on February 21, 1922 by veterans of the Spanish-American War and World War I. From it's beginning, the Post was dedicated to continuing the comradeship shared by those who shared similar experiences in the defense of our great nation.

In 1935, the organization purchased its current location at 406 North 4th Street in downtown Coeur d'Alene, from the Knights of Columbus.

Our mission is to foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts and to serve our veterans and their families, the military, our communities, and to advocate on behalf of all veterans.

Join us in working together to help fellow veterans, and have some fun doing it!
